Lunch & General Session -RISX at 50: Risk Management's Role in Gender Equity
Feedback form is now closed.
On the 50th anniversary of Title IX, this session looks at the present and future roles risk management and insurance professionals can have in helping institutions meet the historic and emerging goals of Title IX.
We will set the historic stage for the last 50 years of Title IX, including work in athletics, pay equity, and sexual harassment reduction, and engage in a discussion of the accomplishments and unmet goals.

Objectives:
+ Learn how areas of Title IX present a litigation, loss, and attrition risk for the institution - some insurable and some not, but all having an impact.
+ Receive an update on the state of the law and regulations around Title IX.
+ Understand the changes in athletics during the past 50 years.
+ Understand the intersection and overlap of protection of minors, the "MeToo" movement, and a gender equity and DEI lens to Title IX requirements.
+ Understand the potential role of risk management, partnering with Title IX, equity, student affairs, and athletics to support and innovate in this work, reducing risk while increasing equity.
+ Hear about the next 50 years of Title IX and the role of risk management and insurance professionals in meeting the unmet goals.
